How to Choose Acne Soap

Acne is a skin condition which has plugged pores, inflamed pimples, and deeper lumps. A hormone, called testosterone, stimulates the sebaceous glands of the skin to enlarge, produce oil, and plug the pores that cause acne. If you are suffering from acne you need acne soap. Soaps emulsify dirt, oil, and kill microorganisms on the skin surface so that they can be easily removed. Soap also removes dead surface cells and preparing skin to better absorb topically applied medications.




Which soap is the best for cure acne?



You need a mild soap so that it does not irritate your skin and make your acne skin dry. Major patients choose soaps that safety, mildness, gentleness, less irritation, and less drying. Yes, those are the best acne soap!



What about the ingredients?



Active ingredients usually containing in acne soap:



1. Benzoyl peroxide, which has antibacterial, non comedonal, and exfoliating properties.



2. Sulfur, usually in soaps its concentration is between 5%-10%. Sulfur has keratolytic agent to exfoliate the dead skin cells from the epidermis or the top layer of the skin.



3. Active ingredients that come from natural such as neem oil, aloe vera, cucumber, tree oil, witch hazel, oat, chamomile, etc.



How to use acne soap?



1. Use warm, not hot water. Wash your skin with acne soap twice a day. Over washing your skin will actually stimulate your sebaceous glands to produce more sebum, thus increasing your acne.



2. Be extremely gentle to your skin when washing - do not scrub or use any sort of rough cloth.



3. Pat your face dry gently. Do not rub face hard during the washing or drying because you can irritate your sensitive pimples.
